At Actavis, "think smart medicine" is more than a motto.

It is a foundation of our culture – a culture that reflects our team members’ commitment to improving the lives of others by providing high value, lower cost medical solutions. Away from work, our employees bring energy and enthusiasm to improving lives through volunteer service in their communities. Actavis is proud of all they do, and supports and encourages their involvement.

Promoting Community Service - In addition to our "One Match" program that matches individual charitable donations up to $1,000 per year, we also provide each team member with one "Employee Volunteer Day" per year – up to eight hours, with pay, to perform volunteer work for qualifying non-profit organizations.

Actavis team members have used their time to help build homes for the needy and renovate a center for abused children, clean up local parks, visit nursing homes, educate youngsters about the dangers of drinking and driving, and much more.

In 2010, to commemorate our company’s fifth anniversary in the United States, we pledged $25,000 to be shared among local charities in the U.S. communities we call home: Elizabeth and Morristown, NJ; Sunrise, FL; Owings Mills, MD; and Lincolnton, NC. Employees at each site will choose how to distribute the funds.
