Actavis would prefer the ‘cover letter’ to include rather more than just an introduction to the resume. The letter could contain:

• Some idea as to why the job appeals to you and how/what you could contribute to the role
• Reference as to whether or not you have done this sort of work before
• Examples of your achievements / success in this field of work
• The type of working relations you have with colleagues and your preferred working environment

A cover letter should set you apart from other candidates, giving the recruitment team a reason to want to see you - not only because of your vocational skills, but because of the kind of person you are.

We prefer cover letters to be specific to a particular job. If you would like to respond to more than one vacancy, please rewrite or edit each letter carefully, focusing on the specific vacancy.
